Description

Wintergreen is scientifically known as Gaultheria procumbens where its main constituent Methyl salicylate makes it a useful product for a number of health concerns. Plant part - Leaves are used for the extraction of natural essential oil by the process of steam distillation. It’s a Colorless to a yellowish clear thin liquid having robust properties like analgesic and anti-inflammatory. It’s mainly found in the forests of Nepal and China, and its oil has a warm, strong and woody fragrance.

Wintergreen is mainly applied directly to the skin as a wash for achy joints, and useful for sore muscles, and lower back pain issues. Wintergreen reduces the tissues’ pain and swelling. Wintergreen is effective for headache, nerve pain, arthritis, ovarian pain, digestive problems, gas, and lung conditions. It works better for asthma and pleurisy.

Blends Well With

Ylang-Ylang, Peppermint, Marjoram, Lavender, Birch Sweet, and Vanilla.
